The problem

Clicks and views are useful. What happens next?

Perhaps your ads look busy in Ads Manager, but you're unsure whether they are reaching the right listeners, building a mailing list or helping sell anything.

01 / DISCOVERY

Lots of views. Few lasting fans.

Find out whether the creative is reaching people likely to connect with your music — and whether you have a sensible next step for them.

02 / CONVERSION

Clicks, but few sign-ups or sales.

Look beyond the advert at the landing page, offer, store and follow-up journey that visitors actually experience.

03 / DECISIONS

Unsure what to test next.

Replace guesswork with a shortlist of practical improvements suited to your music, available assets and advertising budget.

Get a Second Opinion on My Ads

A focused review of what the available campaign data really shows.

What I review

Your advertising — and the fan journey behind it.

An ad doesn't operate on its own. I assess the wider path from someone discovering your music to choosing whether to follow, subscribe, attend or buy.

Campaign goals and structure

What the campaigns are asking Meta to achieve, how budgets are split and whether those objectives match your real priorities.

Audience targeting

Who sees the ads, the relevance of targeting and how engaged audiences may be used appropriately.

Creative and messaging

Video openings, live footage, music hooks, adverts, offers and the reasons someone might stop scrolling.

Landing pages and offers

Whether visitors reach a clear, useful destination — such as a fan sign-up, physical release, merchandise or ticket page.

Tracking and results

What the reported numbers do and do not prove, including available conversion events, attribution gaps and acquisition costs.

Direct-to-fan opportunities

How email, repeat purchasing and local gig audiences could fit into your wider marketing, where the evidence supports it.

What the report looks like

A clear assessment. Not another dashboard.

You'll receive a tailored written audit based on your campaigns, starting point and goals, with the findings explained in language you can act on.

01 / AT A GLANCE

Keep

Identify the strongest existing activity, content and fan relationships worth building upon.

02 / DIAGNOSIS

Improve

Understand the biggest gaps or friction points — from ad creative to campaign measurement and the post-click journey.

03 / ACTION

Test next

Get a realistic order of priorities, with recommendations matched to your resources rather than an expensive wish list.

The findings depend on your campaigns and the data available. The audit identifies priorities; it does not include rebuilding or running your ads.

An example of what an audit can uncover

The advert was only part of the problem.

A real audit finding · anonymised

Plenty of activity. An unclear next step.

In a recent music-industry audit, paid campaigns, a physical music offer and an existing email system were operating without a consistently measurable path from interest to purchase. It would have been misleading to judge success by clicks or campaign totals alone.

What the review prioritised

Test the journey before raising the budget.

The recommendations focused on stronger music-led creative, clearer fan sign-up and buying journeys, and separating advertising results from sales generated by email or other channels.

Based on a completed client audit with the artist’s identity and commercial figures omitted. These are examples of findings, not a promise that every account has the same issues or outcomes.

Different help may suit you if…

You haven't launched any campaigns yet, need somebody to build a campaign from scratch, or want ongoing management rather than an assessment of existing activity.

The approach

Attention. Connection. Revenue.

I'm Rob Town MA, founder of Stampede Press and a former touring musician. I approach advertising from the artist's side of the table: limited budgets, demanding schedules and the need to turn interest into something sustainable.

A video view can be the start of a fan relationship; it does not automatically mean somebody listened, subscribed or bought. I separate what the data shows from what it cannot confirm, so your next decision is based on evidence.

You can act on the report yourself. If you need technical help or ongoing management, those are separate services and are never required as part of the audit.

Frequently asked questions

Meta Ads Audit — common questions.

What is a Meta Ads audit for musicians?

It's a review of your existing Facebook and Instagram advertising, looking at your campaign objectives, targeting, creative and available results. At Stampede Press I also examine how those ads connect with fan sign-ups, physical music, merchandise and ticket opportunities where relevant.

Why are my Facebook Ads getting clicks but no music sales?

Clicks show that someone visited a destination, not that they purchased or became a fan. The audit checks campaign objectives, creative, the post-click offer and whatever tracking is available to identify where the journey may be losing people. It will also flag when sales cannot be confidently attributed to an advert.

How much does the Essential Meta Ads Audit cost?

The Essential Meta Ads & Fan Growth Audit is £97 as a one-off service. Any additional implementation or management work is discussed and quoted separately.

What do I receive?

You receive a tailored written report setting out what is working, what may need improving and what to test next. The recommendations are based on your available data, goals and current marketing setup.

Are video views and streams enough to judge an advert?

Not on their own. Views and streams can be useful for discovery, but the right measure depends on the campaign goal. I review the available signals, whether people take a meaningful next step and whether the advertising can be connected to direct fan relationships or purchases.

Can you audit campaigns that send people to Spotify?

Yes. I'll look at the purpose of the campaign, the creative, the landing journey and the signals available to judge the result. A click to Spotify does not by itself show whether someone became an engaged listener or paying fan.

Can you review Meta Ads for CD, merchandise or gig-ticket sales?

Yes. I can assess available results alongside the customer journey, including the store or ticket destination. Where ticket checkout is controlled by an external venue or promoter, actual completed purchases may not be visible to Meta; I'll make those attribution limits clear.

Do I need a large advertising budget?

No fixed high budget is required, but the audit is most useful when you have sufficient campaign activity to examine. If there is very little data, I'll explain the limitations before proceeding.

How do I give you access to my Meta Ads data?

You do not need to send passwords. I’ll explain which campaign reports or appropriate account permissions are needed and how to share them securely.

Will you fix my campaigns as part of the £97 audit?

The £97 service covers assessment and written recommendations. Campaign implementation, tracking configuration, email automation and ongoing Meta Ads management are not included, but can be discussed separately if useful.

How long does the audit take?

I’ll confirm the expected turnaround after reviewing your enquiry and the available campaign information. Your audit is delivered as a written report.

How is this different from the Fan Growth & Revenue Sprint?

The Meta Ads Audit examines existing Facebook and Instagram campaigns and their results. The Fan Growth & Revenue Sprint is a broader music marketing strategy review, covering the audience, content, offers and a 30-day plan even when ads are not the main problem.

Is this an automated Meta Ads score or a review by a person?

It is a review prepared by Rob Town, using the campaign information you provide. I interpret the results in the context of your music, objectives and fan journey, then explain the most useful changes to consider. It is not a generic automated score or an account-management service.

Before you spend more, find out what's worth fixing.

Get a practical second opinion on your Facebook and Instagram ads, shaped around your music, your audience and your actual goals.

No guaranteed streams, sales or return on advertising spend. Recommendations depend on the quality and extent of the data available.
