Following the success of Wayward Sons new album ‘The Truth Ain’t What It Used To Be’, being presented with Hard Rock Hell’s ‘Legend’ award, and an extensive tour as guests to Black Star Riders; Toby Jepson will be taking his solo acoustic show back on the road this December and January.
“It’s a joy to go back and visit some of my songs that very rarely get played live these days, this is the point of these acoustic shows, a chance to give them an airing! Dave and I love to play live together it’s pretty ‘seat of the pants’ style stuff, but always great fun”, explains Jepson.
“What I love most is it showcases the songs in their rawest form and allows it to be all about the song rather than about the ‘shock and awe’ and all The ‘pantomime’ of a big live rock show. My love of songwriting has always been based in the things that I am saying coupled with melody that connects with the audience via the ideas. Playing acoustic delivers this in its purist form. The upcoming shows will be a retrospective of the whole of my career right from the early days of the Little Angels through my solo work, plus some of the songs I’ve written for other people and also including the wayward sons material and there will be one or two surprises!”
With some shows already sold out and tickets for other dates selling fast, this is a fantastic opportunity to catch Toby Jepson in an intimate setting before Wayward Sons head out on a lengthy UK/European tour as special guests to Steel Panther in January and February.
