Thuum set benchmark for British metal in 2018 with debut EP ‘Through Smoke, Comes Fire’ this February.

As seen live at Bloodstock Open Air 2017: Hailing from Dorset, UK, Bournemouth’s Thuum take a foundation of sludge metal and throw it into a blender of genres to create a crushing contemporary fresh take on metal of colossal proportions.

Relatively new to the scene, Thuum’s live performances have gained them a solid reputation which has scored the band support slots with heavyweights like Crowbar and Orange Goblin, plus festival appearances at Mammothfest and a slot on the Hobgoblin New Blood Stage at Bloodstock in 2017, which saw the group receive a 4K write up in Kerrang! Magazine amongst other glowing reviews from various media outlets.

The debut Ep ‘Through Smoke, Comes Fire’ was produced with local engineer Jack Irving at Echo Rooms Studios in Bournemouth and mastered by Brad Boatright at AudioSeige in Portland, Oregon U.S.A. Boatright has worked on Stranger Things OST and with bands such as Employed To Serve, Iron Monkey, Ohhms, Pentagram, and many more.
