ABOUT SPLINTERED HALO

“Rock horror musical theatre”
Hailing from Scotland, this band creates songs that transcend musical genres, each with it’s own dark, horror twist. They take listeners on a theatrical, character-driven adventure, with songs focusing on pop culture icons such as Pennywise, The Bride of Frankenstein, Leatherface and Dorothy of Oz. Splintered Halo are true pioneers of what they proudly call “Theatrical Character Music”.
Visually, this band is a photographer’s dream, with a distinctively dark image, featuring hand painted masks, and a frontwoman who becomes the characters she is portraying. Splintered Halo delves deep into the intricacies of world music, ranging from oriental styles, Scottish trad, or country blues depending on what each character’s story calls for. Each song is not just a composition, but a vivid narrative, telling the story of the central character. More than just songs, these are your favourite characters distilled into music, and the closest you will get to horror musical theatre.
With a proven track record, Splintered Halo has carved a distinguished path in the music industry. Their professional journey has seen them share stages with iconic names, including Kobra and the Lotus, Butcher Babies, Sumo Cyco, Devilment (featuring Dani Filth), Eric 13 of Combichrist, Evil Scarecrow, Oceans of Slumber, Alia Tempora, and many more.
The band will expand on their current discography with a new EP, Chronicles of Horror – Volume 1, set to release in January of 2026. This will be the first in a series of horror movie focused EPs.
Boundaries blur and creativity reigns supreme.

REVIEWS

“Visually striking, they offer a very strange and warped sound mixing metal, fairground themes and lunacy in an off-kilter style.”

“For a self released debut album its fabulous and unnerving! Think Kate Bush on a massive amount of LSD on a bad trip. Tremendous!”

“An innovative and ultimately brave album release. If this guarantees you one thing it is that you will likely not have heard anything like it before.”

“An auditory avante-garde theatre show of cinematic proportions, with each deranged and manical track as awesome as the last.”
