“Occult themed industrial dance music”

Heart of Hecate blends gothic, occult, electronic and industrial music, fusing them to create a distinctively dark and demonic sound, set to pulsing beats that you can’t help but dance to. Female led and based in Scotland, the Heart of Hecate coven is a concept band, telling the tale of a girl who is possessed by the demon, Belial, and embraces his ‘love’ and the dark gifts which come with it. When the girl and her demon are separated by an exorcism, she spends her life trying to bring him back. 

Visually striking, you can’t help but be mesmerized by this band’s otherworldly appearance, and their hypnotic beats. Borrowing from various aspects of world music, such as Latin dance, and reggae, each song is then given a touch of the gothic and occult to weave it’s dark tale. 

Formed by veteran musicians in 2024 as a serious outlet for their passion for goth and dance music, Heart of Hecate is already forging an impressive reputation as an up and coming live act, already having supported The Devil and the Universe, and set to support Matt Hart later this year.

The band’s discography is in its infancy, but the quality of the content released so far is testament to their creative prowess. In a short space of time, two singles are part of their catalogue, an official music video and a studio EP, which was released in March 2025. As fans anticipate their next single, titled Papa Legba, Heart of Hecate really is one to watch this year.
