Winners of Wight Noize 2025 and finalists in 2024, 5 Degrees North are rapidly emerging as one of the UK’s most exciting young rock acts. The Brighton based trio opened the Main Stage at 2025’s Isle of Wight Festival on Saturday, sharing the bill with major artists including Stereophonics, The Script, Busted, and Razorlight, following a support slot as guests to High Fade.
Known for their electrifying live energy and genre-blending sound, 5 Degrees North fuse alternative rock with melodic hooks, funky basslines, and driving rhythms. Their dynamic performances and tight musicianship have quickly earned them a loyal following across the South Coast.
Over the past three years, the band has honed their sound on festival stages and through headline shows across the Isle of Wight and Southampton. Their growing recognition shows no sign of slowing down, further underlined by a nomination for Indie/Rock/Alternative Band of the Year at the Portsmouth Music Awards 2025 and Radio Wigwam’s nod for Best Alt-Rock Band at their 2026 awards.
Finalists at Wight Noize 2024, winners in 2025 and now bona-fide Isle of Wight Festival Main Stage act; 5 Degrees North’s energetic live shows are a testament to their chemistry and dedication, making them a must-see act for rock enthusiasts. Keep an eye on this young band as they continue to push boundaries and carve their path in the rock scene.
