Produced by Grammy nominated Romesh Dodangoda (Motörhead, Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine), Häxan’s new EP showcases the band’s evolution, blending rock and metal influences – bigger, bolder and more intense. From the uncompromising title track ‘Death of Me’, to new single release ‘Thirteenth Hour’, Häxan delivers big riffs, big vocals and driving energy, setting the stage for what’s to come.
The band says, “We know it’s been a while since our debut album, and that’s because we were lucky enough that it kept us so busy with touring and being on the road, finding the time—or headspace—to write just wasn’t possible,” says vocalist and guitarist Sam Bolderson. “Some bands write on the road, in vans, hotel rooms, but that’s just not us. We need to shut ourselves away and get stuck in. When we finally had the chance to do this, it took a little time to get back into the writing swing of things.”
“Most of the songs on Death of Me revolve around a kind of disconnection that doesn’t happen overnight—it creeps in. The kind of slow unraveling that builds over time. They don’t deal in answers or resolutions; they just sit in the tension.” – Häxan (April 2025)
Recorded at Longwave Studios with the same passion and fire that fuels their high-energy live shows, the new EP, ‘Death of Me’, captures the essence of a band that has made waves on major festivals such as Download, Bloodstock, and Planet Rockstock, PLUS international stages like Monsters of Rock Cruise Miami and Malmo Rock Festival, as well as sharing the stage with Foreigner, Status Quo, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Florence Black, Electric Six, The Subways, and many more.
